Kevin Bridges gets Ticketmaster Ticket Of The Year title

The stand-up tour by Kevin Bridges has been named as the "UK's Ticket of The Year".

Ticketmaster polled live entertainment fans globally using its 200 million customer database to ask them to name the most popular live events of 2018. The Scottish stand-up star's sold-out shows at the SSE Hydro arena in Glasgow topped the poll.

He is the first comedian to take the top spot in the poll, and this year had competition from shows including Hamilton and Ed Sheeran.

The title follows on from him picking up the 'Gie It Laldy' award from the Glasgow arena, recognising his contribution to the live event industry, having sold more tickets to the venue than any other solo artist.

Kevin Bridges says: "Thank you to everybody who came out to see me live this year and a very special thank you to those who went as far as voting for me as their favourite show of the year. It's been a while since the result of a vote has made me happy. You have restored my faith in democracy. Thank you all and see you another time."

Bridges continues to tour the show, with the final UK date on the 18th December at Aberdeen's BHGE Arena. UK tickets He then will tour the show in Europe in spring 2019.

It's written and performed by a comedian at the top of his game with Kevin giving his take on the modern world, social media, anxiety, religion, conversations with his dog and having Barack Obama as his support act.
