Al Murray is to tour the UK in 2019 with a new show, as his Pub Landlord character.

The 43 date Landlord of Hope and Glory will start in May 2019, running until July. Tickets are available now from sites including Ticketmaster

His character released a statement saying: "Citizens of Hope and Glory! Our new tomorrow beckons. A new tomorrow that smells reassuringly of yesterday, but with wifi. One last heave and we will be there. And when the going gets tough the tough get going. Although the going won't get tough and anyone who tells you it is going to be tough is lying.

"Come join me to marvel at the majesty of our green and pleasant land. A land globally renowned for our culture, history and places, like the world-famous Salisbury Cathedral. Join me to step backwards into the future."

Al Murray has now been touring as The Pub Landlord for more than 20 years. His extended sell-out 2016 tour included dates at the O2 Arena and the Royal Albert Hall.

Murray's new TV show - documentary Why Does Everybody Hate The English? - starts on the History channel on Monday.
