Jon Culshaw has announced The Great British Take Off, a 14 date UK tour.
The impressionist will be joined on stage by Dead Ringers producer Bill Dare, and the duo will perform "an evening of unscripted, unrehearsed, spontaneous comedy and conversation as politicians, sports personalities and celebrities old and new are all up for a roasting."
The show's producers, Avalon, explain: "The audience help choose which characters appear and what direction the show takes. Jon reveals the secrets of mimicry, and shares stories of some of the fascinating characters that coloured his childhood in Lancashire and his early career. Together with Bill he reveals some of the mayhem of life behind the scenes in television and on the celebrity circuit."
The Great British Take Off will run from the 2nd September to 30th November 2017, and follows on from a successful sell out preview run earlier in the year. The full dates are below.
Culshaw boasts a catalogue of over 350 voices, from politicians such as Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson, to celebrities such as Michael McIntyre and Professor Brian Cox. Many of these voices are showcased in his TV and radio work, with his credits including Newzoids, The Now Show and Spitting Image. He can currently be heard in the new series of Dead Ringers, broadcasting on Radio 4 on Friday nights.
Bill Dare, who has created and overseen shows such as The Mary Whitehouse Experience, The Now Show and Dead Ringers and produced shows such as Spitting Image, is also a comedy writer and novelist when not producing shows.
