- New comedy night Amusical is launching at the Backyard Comedy Club in London this March
- Hosted by Jayde Adams and Kiri Pritchard-McLean, the show sees comedians singing West End songs

A new comedy night is launching in which comedians sing songs from the musicals.
Amusical, which launches in London in March, will be hosted by Jayde Adams and Kiri Pritchard-McLean, and is focused around guests singing songs from West End and Broadway musicals.
The first show will feature performances from Lolly Adefope, Chris Addison, Margaret Cabourn-Smith, Sara Pascoe, Jake Yapp and - in a rare live performance - Alan Partridge star Felicity Montagu.
The show was devised by stand-up Pritchard-McLean and radio producer Dave Cribb. Cribb will lead the live house band, Dave and the Quavers.
Talking more about the format, the creators explain: "Six comedians will go up against each other to perform their favourite song from stage and screen, and it's up to YOU, the audience, to determine who is best. Well, who your favourite is anyway. They may well not be the best. The winner wins a cool £200 to donate to the charity of their choice, as well as the real prize closing the show with their ultimate encore song."
The songs selected by the guests are currently being kept as a surprise, however speaking to BCG, Cribb says: "There's quite the range! And I imagine it'll also be quite the range of ability."
Kiri Pritchard-McLean says: "I am so excited about this show. We're finally giving comedians a much needed chance to show off. Plus we're raising money for charity so we get to feel all warm inside as we listen to them belt out a number from Cats."
The show will run at the Backyard Comedy Club in the Bethnal Green area of London every other month. The first show is on Wednesday 15th March, with the second night booked for the 9th May.
The organisers say: "If you love comedy, musicals, and comedians almost certainly getting horribly drunk to cope with the nerves of performing on a West End (East London) stage, this is the night for you."
