Joel Dommett has announced a date at the Eventim Apollo, the London venue generally known as the Hammersmith Apollo.

The stand-up recently was the runner-up on ITV reality challenge show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, and his live dates in 2017 will be aiming to capitalise of his new-found fame.

Dommett is set to tour the country in 2017, but most dates have already sold out. Additional dates have been promised, including the Eventim Apollo show, which will take place on Saturday 16th September.

His agents say: "Fresh from his hugely memorable performance on 2016's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, one of the UK's most energetic and exciting comedians returns to the road with his solo show, Joel Dommett: LIVE. Catch the star of Sky 1's Bring The Noise as he delivers his high octane comedy to venues up and down the country."

Tickets for the Eventim Apollo show go on general sale on Monday 19th December 2016 at 10am, however pre-sale tickets will be available from 10am on Friday 16th December from Ticketmaster

Dommett tweeted about the news he was to play the iconic venue. He posted: "INSANE. The Hammersmith Apollo. A real dream come true... (If people come and watch. If it's empty it's a nightmare)"

The subject matter of Dommett's 2017 show is not yet known, however it is thought likely he will talk about his time in the jungle. He may also discuss how a video of him engaging in a sexual act - recorded on a web cam via someone trying to blackmail him - has recently been circulated on the internet.

Last Sunday, in a post on his Facebook page he talked further about what had happened, and writing in a comical style as 'his penis', spoke about how "it's a genuinely horrific thing for another human being to do".
