Chortle Awards 2016

The nominees have been announced for the Chortle Awards 2016.

Run by comedy website Chortle.co.uk, the awards - which are primarily based around stand-up comedy - feature a number of established and new comedians.

Joseph Morpurgo leads the field with three nominations, whilst Peter Kay, Mark Steel, Lolly Adefope, Spencer Jones and sketch group Daphne are amongst those with multiple nominations.

The shortlists were devised by a panel of judges, with the winners determined by a public vote. To take part in the poll visit Chortle.co.uk.

The voting closes on 21st February with the results revealed at a ceremony on the 22nd March.
