Chump's Comedy launches 4 new regular mixed bill shows
Live promoters Chump's Comedy are launching new regular comedy shows in London, Canterbury and Folkestone.
Chump's started in Margate 18 months ago, quickly earning a reputation for organising sell-out shows featuring a mix of new talent alongside household names.
After hosting a series of late-night mixed bills at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer and producing various London events - including Stand Up For Samaritans at Hackney Empire - Chump's has now announced it is expanding its regular mixed-bill nights.
They will continue to produce shows in Margate, but will now also run nights at Underbelly Boulevard Soho and Kiln Theatre in London, plus Gulbenkian Theatre in Canterbury and Quarterhouse in Folkestone.
Chump's will run in London every month, whilst Canterbury and Folkestone will begin as quarterly shows, but with hopes to go monthly at those venues too.
Sindhu Vee, Daniel Foxx, Jack Skipper and Lou Wall will join host Kit Proudfoot on 23rd January 2025 in Folkestone.
Phil Wang, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Michael Odewale, Lou Wall and MC Amy Annette will appear at Underbelly Boulevard on 30th January.
Vittorio Angelone, Olga Koch and Huge Davies are lined up for Canterbury on 31st January.
Meanwhile Suzi Ruffell, Olga Koch, Lou Wall, Roger O'Sullivan and MC Andrew Mensah will appear at Kiln Theatre on 13th February.
Promoter Simon Morley says: "We're feeling very lucky and really excited to be bringing Chump's to all these new places. The rooms are all excellent and we're so proud of these initial line-ups. Chump's started as a bit of fun on the side and has developed into a full time obsession. Ultimately these new shows enables us to book more and more of our favourite acts so we can't wait!"
