Jerry Sadowitz announces Apollo show
Jerry Sadowitz has announced a major London date in his current tour, Not For Anyone.
He will appear at the iconic Hammersmith Apollo on the evening of Tuesday 15th November, with tickets on pre-sale now, and on general sale tomorrow morning (Saturday 27th August).
The show attracted national attention earlier this month when its short Edinburgh Fringe run was curtailed after just one performance by host venue Pleasance, creating a furore over censorship and the so-called "cancel culture" climate in comedy.
Long known for his expletive-laden routines mixing astonishing close-up magic and comedy, the controversy helped propel ticket sales for other dates around the UK. Accordingly, the company behind the Leicester Square Theatre has now announced that he will play to more than 3,600 people at the West London venue, formally known as the Eventim Apollo.
Promoters tease: "Jerry Sadowitz returns with his whacky impressions of Greta Thunberg, Frankie Boyle and deep vein thrombosis. He also promises to do less hate fuelled swearing and focus more on faux liberal pish in order to appeal to the middle class and their disposable income and personalities."
Jerry says: "Please note that I might just do card tricks and say NOTHING for a whole hour or I might just do the usual 'screaming fascist' schtick. Or both. Patrons may wish to drink alcohol pre‐show to avoid boredom, embarrassment and guilt."
Dates at other venues across the country, between 7th October and 20th November 2022, are now on sale at Ticketmaster.
