Bournemouth Comedy Festival launches Joke Trail
The Bournemouth Comedy Festival - which will run from 4th to 8th October - is launching a Joke Trail.
The festival is giving people the chance to win prizes by completing the trail, which is sponsored by the AUB Events Management course.
Using an interactive map linked to from a QR code on all the posters, the aim is to follow the joke trail around Bournemouth to collect a series of letters of the alphabet. Unscrambling them will reveal the name of a famous British comedian. Correct answers submitted online will be entered into the prize draw.
The prizes include a £50 Bournemouth Town Centre Gift Card; one hour free session for two people at Centre VR; a free family ticket at Mr Mulligans; a nomination bracelet with comedy/smiley face charm from Michael Matthews Jewellers; and a selection of items from LUSH.
The trail goes live, and the competition opens, on Saturday 30th September and closes at midnight on Sunday 8th October.
The line-up for the festival's stand-up shows includes Zoe Lyons, Troy Hawke, Shelf, Tom Ward and Nathan Caton. The Friday night show has already sold out, and other shows are selling fast, so comedy fans are advised to book soon.
