Live Comedy
Normal For Norfolk Comedy Festival
Monday 15th July to Saturday 27th July 2024
Norwich-based comedy company Hooma Comedy is bringing almost two weeks of shows to the area with the region's first ever comedy festival. With big name stars of stand-up; Terry Alderton (Live At The Apollo), Joe Rooney (Father Ted), Sam See (Comedy Central) and Spring Day (Live At The Apollo) bringing their Edinburgh shows to Norwich.
The packed schedule will include performances for Norwich Pride, with special shows at the Bowling House on both Friday 26th July and Friday 27th July, and Norfolk Day with a guest appearance by Tim Fitzingham at The Railway Tavern in Dereham.
Martin Westgate, who runs Hooma Comedy, says, "There's been a growing comedy scene in Norwich for a few years, with live comedy every week on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays. Now felt like a great time to bring some of the UK's best comic talent to East Anglia."
The packed schedule of laughs sees 50 performers put on 30 different shows across 11 different venues.
"I'm very excited to bring some of the most exciting comics in the UK to my hometown. It's also important that stand up comedy is accessible, we're bringing you a mix of local talent, who have recently graduated from Hooma's own Comedy Course, to some of the biggest names on the stand up circuit, and we're making all the shows affordable so everyone can enjoy them", added Martin.
