Cheerful Earful Podcast Festival returns in October 2024

Cheerful Earful

The third annual Cheerful Earful Podcast Festival kicks off this October, with live shows from some of the biggest and most beloved comedy podcasts planned between the 12th and 20th October.

The UK shows follow on from festival dates in Australia, between 4th and 6th October.

Headlining in the UK are Lateral hosted by Tom Scott, Let's Be Having You fronted by Alex Brooker and Paper Cuts from Miranda Sawyer, with high-profile guests including Marcus Brigstocke, Coco Khan, Kerry Godliman, Arthur Smith and more still to be announced.

This year's festival also welcomes back many familiar faces including Pappy's, Trusty Hogs and Lexx Education as well as some of the country's funniest shows and comics joining the lineup, including Noncensored with Rosie Holt, Did You Just Say That? from Zoe Lyons and Stephen Bailey and Crushed by Margaret Cabourn-Smith.

Plus, for the time, Cheerful Earful has a dedicated "Listen Up" stage, providing a platform for smaller and independent podcasters to grow and reach new audiences. Performances include fan-favourites such as A Wheezing Groaning Sound, Wrestling with The Champ and Thots TV.

The shows are split across The Clapham Grand and The Bedford Pub in Balham, with tickets ranging from £6 to £24.

Festival director Giles Gear says: "Cheerful Earful continues to grow in such an exciting and collaborative way. It's great to see so many additions to the lineup, big and small, as well as some podcasters returning for a third consecutive year! Heading over to Australia was a no-brainer, as their love for comedy-pods rivals ours! From humble beginnings, it's a joy to see Cheerful Earful grow into the world's funniest podcast festival!"
