The Comedy Crawl 2011

Rufus Hound

A brand new comedy festival is arriving in London this May Bank Holiday. Showcasing a diverse stable of brand new and critically acclaimed talent alongside some surprise special guests, The Comedy Crawl is promising to be an unforgettable experience.

This new comedy festival takes place in Camden on the 30th April and 1st May 2011 alongside the established Gaymers Camden Crawl, with one ticket gaining you access to the many live comedy shows taking place over the two evenings.

Over 100 comedians will be performing across the weekend, including top stand-up comics like Rufus Hound (pictured), Brendon Burns, Shappi Khorsandi and Andrew Maxwell; sketch groups like Pappy's and Wittank, and musical variety acts such as Frisky & Mannish and Abandoman.

Created by the founders of the Gaymers Camden Crawl, the organisers say The Comedy Crawl has been setup to "act as a conduit to showcase the best emerging comic artists alongside surprise guests from a multitude of disciplines ranging from sketch, stand-up and improv to musical comedy and burlesque to the most outlandish of styles."

Immediately following a daytime programme of comedy events integrated into the Gaymers Camden Crawl line up, The Comedy Crawl will belly laugh into the night as a separate stand alone event for the more comedically inclined over both evenings of the weekend. The great thing about the festival is that one ticket (available as a weekend pass or day ticket) will allow unlimited access to all Comedy Crawl venues and aftershow parties (capacity permitting). The programme kicks off from 7pm on both days of the weekend and runs until midnight.
