Red Hot New Talent Competition
Talent agency Red 24 Management has launched a new act contest to find the UK's top new unsigned comedian. Red 24 Management is inviting comics to upload a video clip (of no more than three minutes) onto their Facebook page
A total of 24 acts will be selected, who will then be invited to compete in heats which will take place at the Red in the Face comedy nights at Punk in Soho on March 1st, April 5th, May 3rd, June 7th and July 5th. One act from each heat will progress and the grand final will be held at Punk on August 2nd.
On top of the stage time, the winner of the competition will receive a year's representation and development contract with Red 24 Management; Edinburgh Fringe gigs via the company's festival show; opening spots at the Red in the Face London gigs; and a professionally shot and edited showreel of their winning performance.
Head of Comedy Talent, Jonathan Grant said: "This is a great way to see the very best that the circuit has to offer and we are thrilled to be championing the most exciting new comedians in the UK. It really is a prize that will change the life of the winner. We ran a similar competition last year to find a new TV presenter and took Sian Welby from working in Top Shop to being the new weather girl on Channel Five in three months."
