Jones Bootmaker ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards announces longlists
The Jones Bootmaker ISH Edinburgh Comedy Awards have revealed its extensive longlists for 2024's Best Show and Best Newcomer prizes.
Thirty-eight Fringe shows are now in the running for the Best Show title, with twenty-two up for Best Newcomer, whittled down from "around 700" eligible shows at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
A third wildcard category, the Panel Prize, will also be awarded. Each of the three titles comes with a £5,000 cash prize.
Founded by Nathan Cassidy (pictured, right), the awards are produced by Sarah Bowles (left) and Jones Bootmaker is represented by Dave Abbott (centre).
