Asian Queer Story: Coming Out to Dead People
When his mother was diagnosed with cancer, Ricky was faced with a question: Is now the right time to come out? After rave reviews at Edinburgh Fringe 2023, Ricky Sim returns with this grief comedy on growing up in the noughties, ways to keep his boyfriend (with Sean Paul's help), and means of acceptance. Directed by Ryan Cunningham, an Emmy-winning producer/director, the show debuted in Off West End in London and Off Broadway. 2024 OffFest finalist. 'Raunchy and darkly comic wonder' ***** (EdFringeReview.com). 'Beautifully heartbreaking' **** (BroadwayWorld.com). 'Painfully powerful' **** (TheWeeReview.com).
