Edward Aczel - Running on Empty
Aczel does his best, but it isn't going to offer a solution to the unbearable lightness of being - as planned. He had so many ambitions for this year's show, but you know - it is what it is, isn't it? It will be edgy and gritty though - i.e. on the pavement in a tent. 'This is anti-comedy. And it is irresistibly funny' (Scotsman); 'Dead-pan dynamo and very funny.' (Mirror); 'Master of the genre.' (Kate Copstick, Scotsman); 'He could stand totally rigid, silent, unmoving and still make an audience laugh.' (Edinburgh Festivals Magazine).
