2023 Edinburgh Fringe
Su Mi: Banana Beard
Think it's a solo stand-up show? Think again. This immersive comedy invites you on a surreal misadventure of absurdist sketch, untamed thrash metal guitar solos and imaginary costumed personas. A wild, offbeat and exciting exploration of stand-up, musical and character comedy, this one-woman show celebrates the human experience of growing up as an immigrant child of South-East Asian descent in East London. BBC New Comedy Award nominee. MCA alumni. Winner: Queerovision and Beat the Frog. 'Su Mi is one to watch' (Josie Long). 'Hugely entertaining force' (Chortle.co.uk). 'A star comedic quality, difficult to craft' (Funny Women).
