Stamptown returns to the Edinburgh Fringe
Enter the universe of cult phenomenon Stamptown Comedy Night - a raunchy, chaotic, late night alternative variety show from the producers of massive Fringe hits such as Jordan Gray, Emily Wilson, BriTANicK and Zack & Viggo. Stamptown is its own genre, its own world with returning characters, sketches and skits that develop on stage. Zach Zucker's alter-egom Master of Ceremonies Jack Tucker, was born in Stamptown, but as the host of the night, he has become one with the show, and now, whilst he can check out any time he likes, he can never leave.
Want to see BriTANicK scatter the ashes of their dead friend into the audience? Well, you can't without visiting Stamptown, because it can't exist without the show. Want to know why Dylan® is feeling like a star and you can't stop his shine? Well ... we can't tell you because it doesn't make any sense outside of Stamptown. But inside those city walls, it's beautiful.
Stamptown is a composite show that somehow manages to maintain a cohesive narrative arc, held together by Jack Tucker's symbiotic relationship with the tech-cum-foley-artist-cum-invisible-maestro, Jonny Woolley. The soundscape at Stamptown has a mind of its own, and the connection between audio and visual create an organic sense of story, completely unique to each performance.
Nothing makes sense outside of Stamptown, but everything makes sense inside it. Join the comedy show club exclusively made up of 'you had to be there' moments.

Stamptown is a late-night show. How does Jack Tucker stay awake?
Jack hasn't fallen sleep since the 70s after coming back from the war. Which one? Don't ask him, it's too upsetting to relive the traumatic events and it'll send him into a tailspin (the skateboard trick). The main source of his never-ending fuel is his dreams. He believes so hard and so deeply that he's "so close to making it" that it keeps him up every second of every day, just in case he accidentally sleeps past the moment that changes his life. Dream big kids, anything is possssssssibleeeee!!!
You're told one of the acts on the line up can't make it because they've been arrested. Who do you assume it is and what do you assume they did?
We don't really hang out with any shifty figures which is honestly disappointing and makes us feel like hacks, but I would put my money on someone getting naked in the wrong place like Natalie Palamides, Zach Zucker or Chad Damiani.
Actually, I'm gonna go with Chad**. Chad is our buddy from LA (shocker, a guy called Chad from LA) who is known throughout the clown community as a serial-groomer. He has "free interns" who are constantly "performing tasks" for him, he's always "showing stretches" that "strengthen" - aka expose - our bodies and has a gaggle of mindless performers who all worship him at a public zoo on weeknights for a "sundown performance". Ummm hellloooo does that not screaaaaam clown cult?????
** For those of you who don't know our sense of humour, Chad is one of our oldest friends (he's 65) and this is not a joke ;)
Is Jack Tucker on Tinder at the Fringe? What's his bio?
I find this question to be disturbing and in very poor taste. You know VERY WELL that Jack is going through a difficult divorce with his wife Sharon. His sole focus is repairing the love he has with her and his beautiful son Joe who recently graduated. Jack has never looked at another woman and will not look at anyone unless the court orders him to do so. And even then? It would entirely depend on how big her honkers are. So, to answer your question, yes he is on Tinder.
What are the best and worst parts of working with Jack Tucker? [Only Jonny (sound and foley extraordinaire) and Dylan (Feelin' like a star, you can't stop his shine... You had to be there) are allowed to answer this and Jack can't read the answer before it's published].
Jonny: Hey everybody it's me, Jonny. I'm a big dumb stupid Canadian and there is nothing bad about working with Jack Tucker. In fact, the best part about working with him is that I get to forget about my own maple syrup life for even a brief second and bask in the glorious laughter and beauty that Jack (played by my handsome, talented, arousing colleague, Zach) provides for not only myself, but all of those who bear witness to his mesmerising performance.
Dylan: Duhhhhh I'm Dylan, duhhhhhh. I love purple and whatever the other colour is that I like. Duhhhhhhhhhh. I owe Jack Tucker a lot of money (which will be legally paid in full by August 1st, 2023) and without Jack (and especially Zach) I would be lost on Other Earth with all of Other Different Kids.
Zach: Wow boys, this is so nice, thank you.
Almost anything you can think of can and has happened in Stamptown at some point. If there's one thing you've never had but want to have - what is it?
Since 2016 our dream/mission statement has been the same: we want to shoot Viggo Venn out of a cannon. Now that he is rich, famous and highly visible, it feels like we're closer than we've ever been. We just have to convince him to spend his hard-earned cash on a dream he has almost certainly forgotten about. Or sue him so we can do it ourselves. Whichever is easier TBH.
