Catfish the Cabaret
Catfish the Cabaret is a tragicomic satire and musical parody of Catfish: The TV Show, partially disguising itself as its live theatrical adaptation while subverting any expectation you might have. Catfish hunter, Ned, mistakenly unveils a demonic spirit, Shenneth, whilst hosting the show. The setting shifts between the digital, human and spirit world. It is a show that will pick at love in the digital age, exploitative entertainment and human complexity. The show is filled with sensory spectacle: projected images, extravagant costumes, contemporary cabaret music and unpredictability as even audience members are unveiled as catfish.
