2023 Edinburgh Fringe
Blizzard
You are on stage, giving a lecture about neuroscience. You are speaking on behalf of your new partner, too ill to attend. He has asked you to read his paper verbatim, but you go off-piste. Within minutes, the stuff of life starts unravelling. Clothes decide they don't want to be clothes anymore. A dress becomes reluctant to be seen in public. You find yourself in the deserted asylum where Nietzsche spent the last years of his life dancing. Emily Woof's first Edinburgh show in over 20 years is a comic, urgent, philosophical adventure about reconnecting to oneself.
