The Diary of a Nobody
'I never was so immensely tickled by anything I had ever said before. I actually woke up twice during the night, and laughed till the bed shook', says Charles Pooter, whose diary covers a year in the life of a humble bank clerk with aspirations. His entries describing life in suburbia and the mishaps, thrills and spills he experiences at work and at home give a comic insight to life amidst the growing middle class of Victorian London. This is a new Fringe adaptation of the classic novel.
