2022 Edinburgh Fringe
Dave Johns: A Comic's Tale
Dave Johns works the audience beautifully, and there are several stand out anecdotes. But it was Johns' skill in creating comedy out of the audience and the room that really impressed.
Spending well over half his life as a much-loved stand-up comic, the award-winning star of Ken Loach's I, Daniel Blake returns to Edinburgh for one last time with the show he's always wanted to do. Just a man, a mic, and funny stuff to say. 'A delight to watch in an intimate setting, like someone telling you a joke over the kitchen table' **** (i Newspaper). 'Extremely engaging and constantly hilarious' **** (TheWeeReview.com). 'Makes what he does seem effortless... the gags came thick and fast' (Observer).
