2019 Edinburgh Fringe
Phil Wang: Philly Philly Wang Wang
Following a sell-out 2017 run, Phil 'Philly Philly Wang Wang' Wang is back with a new hour of absolute gold. Phil has made a name for himself (that name being Phil Wang) exploring sex, romance, politics and his mixed British-Malaysian heritage, in shows that delight in his unique Wang brand of smart/silly stupidity. This one is about morality and the modern sense of self. Swell! As seen on Have I Got News for You, Live at the Apollo and Taskmaster. 'This is intoxicating stuff' **** (Telegraph). 'Stand-up dreamland' **** (Guardian).

The Sunday Times, 28th July 2019The Edinburgh Fringe's top male comedians to watch
Last week I ran a story about the women set to dominate this year's Edinburgh Fringe. I was thinking about posting a companion piece about men, except that when you click on the link you get a blank page. A bit like if someone published a book called The Compassion And Wisdom of Donald Trump and when you open it there is nothing in it.

Don't get me wrong, I love Edinburgh, with it's Hogwartsy cobbles and granite grandeur, seeped in history and united by culture, heritage and a too-often-racist hatred of the English. But when it comes to the Edinburgh Festival, the major advantage of Edinburgh, that it's nowhere near London, becomes its major drawback for all of us keen to see some of the country's best comedy.
