An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious stories from their home lives, the kids spell their way through a series of increasingly ridiculous words, guided by three eccentric adult hosts. In comical, touching, and catchy songs, the spellers reveal their hopes and struggles as they make their way through the twists and turns of the competition. With a vibrant score and witty book, this musical is a charming exploration of the highs and lows of adolescence.
