Comic Relief to stage Edinburgh Fringe gig
Comic Relief is to stage a one-off gig at the Edinburgh Fringe on Monday 20th August.
It will be hosted by Sara Pascoe. The stand-up, who sold out her entire Fringe run last year, isn't performing a show at this year's festival, so it will be one of the only chances to see her in Edinburgh this August.
The charity confirms that she will be joined by "some of the UK's most exciting comedy talent for an exclusive, one night only, stand-up gig."
Ventriloquist Nina Conti will make an appearance on the night, whilst other acts set to take to the stage for the fundraising gig include Jamali Maddix, Larry Dean, Mash Report star Rachel Parris, Catherine Bohart and character comic Steen Raskopoulos.
Pascoe is looking forward to hosting the gig. She says: "I'm super excited to be heading to the Edinburgh Fringe for this year's Comic Relief stand-up show. The city is always buzzing and it's a brilliant place to discover the hottest comedy talent.
"I'll be sharing the stage with some of the best comedians on the circuit so it's a great chance for the audience to enjoy them all in one place. It's even better knowing that it's for a great cause - money raised from the gig will enable Comic Relief to improve people's lives here in the UK and around the world. Grab your ticket now and let's have a fun night."
The show will be held at Assembly Hall at 8pm on Monday 20th August.
The charity says: "Following the success of last year's sell-out Comic Relief Live show with John Bishop, it is set to be an unmissable night of comedy all for a good cause."
