2018 Edinburgh Fringe
Aphrodite and the Invisible Consumer Gods
This award-winning show combines humour, audience interaction and dance to highlight the objectification of women in the media. The Goddess Aphrodite travels to the 21st century. Tempted by the allure of advertising, she wholeheartedly enters into our modern world. However, she is constantly shamed by the media and society for not meeting our impossible standards of beauty. Aphrodite soon discovers love and beauty have a different meaning here. 'It will make you question how you perceive everything that appears on social media' **** (WeekendNotes.com). #madeinadelaide
