One Venezuelan beauty queen goes on a radical journey of self-discovery as she prepares for the all-important Miss Universe competition. Andrea Spisto uses a combination of character comedy, extravagant costume, hip-hop influences and high-octane clowning to tear apart ideals of pristine beauty and propriety. Miss Venezuela is a passionate rebellion against perfect womanhood, igniting the stage into a celebration of the destruction of machismo culture. Centering love and power as its message, its goal is to inspire the audience to liberate their spirits and join Miss Venezuela in an intimate queer carnival of togetherness.
