A year ago he inherited his father's crumbling empire, a run-down chip shop in the east end of Glasgow. The sale for the shop now looms, but Riccardo isn't ready to leave: he has just discovered a compelling oddity in the family business records. Perplexed and burning with curiosity, he now finds himself with no choice but to revisit family history, asking questions of his father he never would have dared to ask before. Saw this today. What a powerful play, brilliantly acted (and written) by Lorenzo Novani. The story unfolds gradually - thoughtful, fascinating, moving, darkly comic at times but all the while compelling. Mr. Novani is hugely talented and deserves a much wider audience and great success. Well done and thank you.
