Dino Wiand - Yorkshire Ripper / Free Festival
The Fringe brochure listing for this show was wrong.
Dino Wiand plays the Yorkshire Ripper, who has been allowed out of prison on a rehab program to perform a stand-up comedy routine, which he uses to discuss his plans for orchestrating an independent nation of Yorkshire, broken away from Great Britain. Amongst other things, he shares his ideas on how, if he was Yorkshire's first elected leader, he would deal with sanctions and military threats from western governments, how he would settle border disputes with Lancashire and Lincolnshire and his ideas of what public figures should appear on Yorkshire bank notes.
