What happens when a group of workers from the City of London break free from their offices and let their imaginations run wild? You get an adrenaline-fuelled show like no other where performers conjure up characters, wise-up on wordplay and act in a way that would get them thrown out of the boardroom!
Having cut their teeth at over 130 shows in London, including sell-out runs at Shoreditch, Camden and Brighton Fringe festivals, City Impro are excited to finally bring their fast-paced fully improvised comedy show Bright Lights, Big City Impro to the Edinburgh Fringe.
Six improvisers will step out into the bright lights of Edinburgh and spin the Wheel of Games to decide which game, song or sketch they create next.
Kate Bishop, HR director by day and improviser by night, says: "As part of City Impro, I love escaping my desk job and performing to entertain and make people laugh. After three years of performing in London, we are thrilled about taking the next step to perform at Edinburgh for the ultimate comedy festival experience."
City Impro
City Impro have been wowing the London improv scene since 2013, with members of the group coming from a wide variety of backgrounds including finance, IT and law. Playing by the simple philosophy of wanting audiences to laugh as hard as they can, previous shows having been recommended by Remote Goat (**** - "A masterclass in improvised comedy") Arts Award Voice (**** - "Incredibly good"), Time Out and the London Evening Standard.
