'Modern comedy? We owe it all to one man' (Chortle.co.uk). The Godfather of alternative comedy returns to the Fringe for the second time in 37 years with a brand-new show. Alexei's varied career spans work as comic, novelist, actor and columnist. His acclaimed second volume of memoirs, Thatcher Stole My Trousers, was published last year and his recent BBC Radio 4 series Alexei Sayle's Imaginary Sandwich Bar was nominated for a Chortle Award.
