Michael Brunström: The Hay Wain Reloaded
Winner of the 2015 Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality, Michael Brunström (The Human Loire, The Golden Age of Steam), presents his strangest show yet: an ambitious Suffolk artist transforms himself into a hay wagon. Join English landscape painter John Constable (1776-1837) as he creates his 1821 masterpiece The Hay Wain through a series of surrealist sketches. 'This is a strange and wonderful hour... I absolutely loved it' **** (Scotsman). 'Big, bold and dumb' (Chortle.co.uk). 'What the...?' (Metro). 'Wonderfully absurd' (LondonIsFunny.com). 'A proper weirdo' (Time Out). 'Unique among modern comedians' (Laugh Out London).

Michael Brunstrom, Short Com, 10th August 2016Kate Copstick's festival diary
A few weeks ago, I enjoyed a glorious afternoon in the company of Lady Colin Campbell, a fabulous woman whose show - A Cup Of Tea With Lady C - promises to be an unmitigated joy. But I should warn you the Lady makes the worst cup of tea I have ever had the misfortune to taste. The mug of the stuff she made me in her charming London home was tongue curlingly bad. She may have brought staff, but if you see her near the TyPhoo... you have been warned.
Kate Copstick, The Scotsman, 4th August 201615 pay-what-you-want comedy shows for Fringe 2016
Nobody was quite sure how Bob Slayer's new pay-what-you-want model for his brilliant Heroes franchise would work when he introduced it a couple of years ago at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Laugh Out London, 18th July 2016Michael Brunstrom: Edinburgh Fringe 2016 interview
Michael Brunstrom is one of the few alternative comedy acts on the circuit you can genuinely say is like nobody else. Past shows have seem him perform as a European river and impersonate airports. At this year's Edinburgh Fringe his subject is Constables' picture The Hay Wain, although I imagine he's the only person to have ever combined it with beach balls.
