2016 Edinburgh Fringe
The Lion in Winter
"King" Henry has it all: three strapping sons, a beautiful mistress and rule over the London Underworld. Feeling generous, he lets "Queen" Eleanor out of prison for the Christmas in 1966. With the upstart "Prince" Philip threatening gang war, his sons ruthlessly pursuing Henry's crown and Eleanor causing sparks to fly, what could go wrong? Performing for the first time at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, James Goldman's feisty black comedy marks the second year at the Fringe for One World Actors Centre, returning after 2015's groundbreaking English/Arabic production Antigone: An Arabian Tragedy.
