Chortle Award-nominated comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean performs her inadvisably ambitious debut hour, tackling genetics, gender and being a comedian who happens to be a woman. Also, she sticks her white, middle class nose into racial inequality. (I know, it has nothing to do with her, but she won't be told.) Join her for an hour of whipsmart stand-up that's as funny as it is clever - or turn up to see if she commits an accidental hate crime. 'One to look out for' (Leicester Mercury). Tour support: Justin Moorhouse. Writer/director Gein's Family.

Rarely asked questions - Kiri Pritchard-McLean

This is Kiri Pritchard-McLean's debut hour, but she is no Fringe newbie. She is a non-performing writer/director for acclaimed sketch group Geins' Family Giftshop and knows comedy inside out. In Hysterical Woman the Chortle Award-nominated comedian tackles genetics, gender, race and being a comedian who happens to be a woman. She is a smart cookie with a warped streak and plenty of opinions. And a very funny smart cookie too.

Let's get this show on the road

Kiri Pritchard-McLean is about to begin her first solo show at Edinburgh. It's about the idea that women aren't funny. Could she have made life any harder for herself?

Kiri Pritchard-McLean - a Fringe interview

You may have seen Kiri recently on Russell Howard's Stand Up Central, heard her on eery podcast All Killa No Filla, or seen her perform as part of Gein's Family Giftshop? However you already know Kiri Pritchard-McLean, you are about to know her again as one of the best new stand ups at the Edinburgh Festival, in her solo show Hysterical Woman. I was lucky to get a chat with the busiest lady in comedy, Kiri, as the Fringe begins to heat up this week.
