Samantha Pressdee: 10 Edinburgh Fringe questions
Samantha Pressdee answers 10 questions about her 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show...
Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?
I did my first gig on Jan 6th 2014. I decided I wanted to do comedy in August 2013 after visiting Edinburgh with a play, before my first gig I did a course with Rob Hitchmough for 10 weeks at City Lit. I'm really happy to be back at Edinburgh with my second show. I love it here, there is something for everyone.
Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself (but mix them up, keep us guessing!).
1. Colin Firth has seen me naked.
2. I've had a threesome.
3. I flashed my tits to the queen.
Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.
It's about sex, rock stars and revolution. I'm trying to find my place in the sun, in this confusing post page three world.
Any cunning plans to get more punters in?
I'll just do some topless flyering.
What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?
Last year I brought a blender with me and never used it so this year I'll just buy smoothies from the supermarket.
What will you miss most while you're away from home?
My dog Miley, she sleeps in my bed at home. I might have to buy a teddy so I don't feel lonely.
Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?
I want to try get up Arthur's seat this year. I think escaping to nature helps keep things in perspective. I love seeing political comedy shows too. We also have our Free The Nipple Rally on The Royal Mile on August 28th at 2.30pm.
If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?
Russell Brand, Bridget Christie, Mark Thomas and Alfie Brown.
Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.
I would freak out if I bumped into Zac from Hanson. I sing Piss Fuck to the tune of Mmmbop in the show. I would be scared he was going to sue me.
Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?
It's a bit different from the mainstream style of comedy. I also show you my willy, his name is Roger.
'Samantha Pressdee: Sextremist' is at Just the Tonic at The Mash House at 10:20pm until the 28th August. Listing
