You Tweet My Face Space: Reluctant Cat Selfies
Comic play You Tweet My Face Space is coming to the Edinburgh Fringe this August. Created by and starring a team of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts graduates, it satirises our modern day obsession with social media and the consequences of having your entire life in the public domain.
Now, we all know that cats rule the internet. Nearly 20 million people have watched that Grumpy Cat video on YouTube for example. However, whilst us humans seem only too keen to get our faces all over the internet, our feline friends are not so enamoured with the idea.
As the You Tweet My Face Space team say: "Selfies and cats were a mystery before the Internet came along. Here's a reminder of why some things are best left undiscovered."
Ok we get it people, you have a cat! You know you've had enough internet for one day when your cat takes a better selfie than you do!
So, have you ever been so excited to see an Edinburgh show that you strip down to your leopard thong and pose with your cat in bed? Of course you have. See you there!
To conclude, the cast of the play say: "We'd tell you about our Edinburgh show but let's be honest, you've come to the Internet for cats. Either that or porn, but it's not that sort of show, unless hilarious chaotic comedies about social media turn you on. If so, please provide your own tissues."
'You Tweet My Face Space' is at 3pm at Greenside at Royal Terrace from the 5th August to 27th (not Sundays). Listing
