Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?
I started comedy in 2004 when my middle child was 6 weeks old. I spent my first few gigs expressing milk backstage as I was still breast-feeding. Rock'n'roll! I'm really happy where I'm at. I've kept 3 kids alive and my teachers were wrong - you can turn talking into a job.
Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself (but mix them up, keep us guessing!).
1. I was born in South Africa.
2. I love sharks.
3. I'm fluent in Swahili.
Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.
Can't believe you're making me write and count. That's not fair. Oh - wait. I'm using up words... it's funny. It's about life and...
Any cunning plans to get more punters in?
No. I just plan on continuing to be awesome.
What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?
I was planning to not drink at all and do yoga and swim every day but Steven K Amos got me drunk on the first night and Daniel Sloss on the second so that's not panning out well. I am swimming though.
What will you miss most while you're away from home?
My sofa. I love my sofa.
Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?
Catching up with family and old friends.
