The Travelling Sisters answer 10 questions about their 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show...

Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

We started performing comedy together in 2014. We would perform anywhere we could in Australia, which led us to some very strange gigs. We are happy with where we're at, we are having a lot of fun. We are very keen to get to the point where we can be touring most of the year!

Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself (but mix them up, keep us guessing!).

1. We once performed at a 36th surprise birthday party and the birthday man heckled us and left his own party (we didn't know anyone there).

2. We once performed to two people outside in a thunderstorm.

3. We once performed half-naked in a McDonalds.

Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.

Fun, sassy, ridiculous - the Australian triplet daughters of The Mighty Boosh create an absurd and daft world of characters, musical and physical comedy.

Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

One of our characters is a giant called Boadecia, made up of the three of us - she is massive and particularly handy for flyering. We also need to find a potato factory for one of our plans...

What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?

We are pretty good at preparing tasty healthy meals to take with us - we are used to it, but we do love treats as well, ohhh Lordy. We drink lots of ginger tumeric teas etc... but we finish our show at quarter to midnight so many post-show drinks are a must. We'll be fine!

What will you miss most while you're away from home?

We have been away from home for about a year and a half... we miss the beach, mangoes and eternal sunshine. Dammit Scotland.

Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?

Climbing Arthur's seat again (thought last year Laura couldn't get down and had to slide down the side of the mountain on her butt). We love lazing on the grass in the Meadows when we get a chance, and having pints with all our beautiful fringey friends! Maybe even a ghost tour?

If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?

Tessa Waters, Spencer Jones, Madame Senorita, The Establishment, Massive Lazy Girls, LetLuce, Tim Renkow, Plague of Idiots, Trygve Wakenshaw, Zach & Viggo, Norris & Parker, The Desperattes, Michael Burgos!

Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

Donald Trump, he wouldn't like our show I don't think.

Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?

Because we are the perfect little-bit-tipsy-at-10:45pm, let's-get-jiggy ridiculous and silly show full of unexpected characters, wicked beats and the kind of audience participation where you get to pass an imaginary pancake to the person next to you and just feel great about life.

'The Travelling Sisters' is at Pleasance Courtyard at 10:45pm until the 28th August. Listing
