Jason John Whitehead answers 10 questions about his 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show...

Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

I started comedy here in Edinburgh back in '99. I'm pretty happy with where I'm at. Things can always get better but I headline all around the world with my jokey jokes, and in America I'm the tour support act for Jim Jefferies and we play some of the biggest most famous venues in the States.

Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself (but mix them up, keep us guessing!).

Um, I'm single, I've done a gig with Guns n Roses and I'm four years sober as of yesterday.

Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.

My show is a collection of jokey jokes and anecdotes from the last few years of my career as I've been travelling around the world.

Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

I tell the men there will be naked ladies and I tell the ladies there will be free money.

What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?

I feel lucky to have a Sainsbury's downstairs from my flat... but yeah, so far they've sold me a lot more beer than Kale.

What will you miss most while you're away from home?

The sunshine... but my venue has heaters in the beer garden at least.

Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?

I always love catching up with old friends since I did live here from 1998-2001. We'll no doubt have a picnic up on Arthur's Seat at some point.

If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?

So many to choose from here in Edinburgh. I've got some great guys at my venue The Liquid Rooms here as well. I think it's been expertly programmed. I always put Carey Marx on my must see list and he's at MY venue. Hell all my guys are great. Outside of The Liquid Room Annexe, I know that my buddy Glenn Wool is in town and I'd have him on my list. Then you gotta see my gym buddies Carl Donnelly and Milo McCabe.

Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

I don't want to see my crazy ex-girlfriend from more than ten years ago because she's literally a witch and every year she says to my face that she's put a curse on me. One year I think it worked.

Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?

Well, if you're a guy there will be naked ladies and if you're a lady there will be free money.

'Jason John Whitehead: Fool Disclosure' is at The Liquid Room at 8:45pm until the 28th August. Listing
