Felicity Ward answers 10 questions about her 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show...

Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

Started sketch in 2004.
Took a two year hiatus as a production/stage manager while my quarter life crisis sorted itself out.
First stand-up gig in 2008 almost by accident and with forceful terror.
Still doing said terror inducing business.
I will probably never be happy with where I'm at but I'm happy for other people to try and fix that longing for me with money and jobs.

Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself.

1. I broke my right arm when I was 14
2. I broke my right arm when I was 15
3. I broke my right arm when I was 16.

Two of these are true.

Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.

A lady with control issues listens to a hypnosis app then loses a bag on a bus with her wallet, keys, laptop inside.

Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

I'm just going to trap the audience from the previous night inside the venue. So even if I have 6 punters, by night ten I'll have a full house. Also I'm terrible at maths. I'm in a 150 seater.

What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?

Week one, I'm like a yoga salad guru. By week two I'm eating cigarette butts from the gutter. So I look forward to that happening again.

What will you miss most while you're away from home?

My guitar. Unless I bite the bullet and bring it along.

Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?

Laser tag. We did it a couple of years ago for a friend's stag do, and now I want to do it once a week. Oh, and escape rooms. Are there any in Edinburgh? I haven't done one yet, but they're a good way to use your brain not on thinking about yourself.

If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?

Oh come on man. Now you're gonna make me divide and conquer my friends? Who are you, the British Empire?

Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

My Mum. Because she will see how much weight I've lost and how many hours I am working and she will start giving me a lecture on protein powders in smoothies again.

Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?

Because my venue seats are really comfortable. And I wear a pretty snazzy ensemble. And I've managed to squeeze a routine about sexual assault and construction workers into a show about losing my bag. No shoe horn necessary.

'Felicity Ward: 50% More Likely to Die' is at Pleasance Courtyard at 9pm on 3-14, 16-29 Aug. Listing
