Birthday Girls answer 10 questions about their 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show...

Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

We started out when we left Uni in 2008. We used to be in a huge six-person sketch group called Lady Garden and did four fringes before we re-formed as Birthday Girls. We've done a lot of fringing, some radio and some TV and we are loving being at the Fringe again.

Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself.

1. One of us has been on The Weakest Link.
2. One of us has shit themselves. At Glastonbury.
3. None of us wear glasses.

Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.

A nips-out body-rocking sketch show that will leave audiences pumped and ready for a night out. The ultimate pre-lash show.

Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

We bribe people by giving out some free shots at the start.

What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?

We have accepted that every meal will be either a falafel wrap or a doner kebab but we still eat one apple a day to cancel it all out. And we get our fruit intake from wine.

What will you miss most while you're away from home?

Temperatures above 18 degrees.

Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?

Walking up Arthur's seat, eating so many Scottish breakfasts, shopping in Armstrong's, chatting to the people who work in Scotmid.

If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?

We'd start the day at lunchtime with Daniel Cook because nobody wants to be up earlier than that at the Fringe. Next up we'd have Lolly Adefope, followed by Beasts, Emma Sidi, Suzi Ruffell and Mae Martin!

Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

Ian Rankin. Come and see the show to find out why.

Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?

Because our show is an hour of pure unadulterated fun (plus we put glitter on your faces if you want us to).

'Birthday Girls: Sh!t Hot Party Legends' is at Pleasance Courtyard at 9:45pm until the 28th August. Listing
