Lou Sanders: 10 Edinburgh Fringe questions

Lou Sanders

Lou Sanders answers 10 questions about her 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show...

Give us a quick overview of your comedy career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

I don't count the years - makes me feel too yuk - no thank you. In my head it's 2008 but I'm sure I've been going ten years so must be 2006ish. I gave up a couple of times like a big baby. Am I happy with where I am - yes - I am also lying.

Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself (but mix them up, keep us guessing!).

Funny enough I just told a lie but I can and will lie again if pressed.
1. I once won a TV in a drinking competition.
2. I have never made love on a Thursday.
3. I've been arrested twice but have also saved two people's lives.

Describe your new show in exactly 23 words.

Moving, soothing, sensual, 3D, an 'upper'.
Gluten free, absolutely no fire risk or at least low fire risk. No dogs allowed. Really cool.

Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

A gun

What's your plan for trying to eat - and drink - healthily during the Fringe?

I mix it up; salad with puddin. I think it'll go very well but also not well at all.

What will you miss most while you're away from home?

Looking about me; a good internet connection and a clean carpet.

Aside from performing, what else are you looking forward to doing in Scotland's fine capital?

Watching. Walking to Arthur's old place. Eating. Hanging with legends.

If you took over programming a Fringe venue, what would your perfect line-up of comedians be?

Funny ones of course! All different shapes and sizes please.

Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

A reviewer who 'didn't get me' and by that I mean 'didn't like me.' And by that I mean for their sake. (Insert fist emojis here).

Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,800+ other Fringe offerings listed on BCG this year?

It's the right thing to do.

'Lou Sanders: What's That Lady Doing?' is at Pleasance Dome at 8:10pm on 3-16, 18-28 Aug. Listing
