American comedian from Dubai, Tai OptimusGrind premiers his first stand-up show at the 2015 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Tai 'OptimusGrind' Paschall is an audience favorite throughout the United Arab Emirates and now he will be making his Fringe debut with his hilarious show, Half Hood at Espionage, Kasbar room on August 6th-8th at 1am.
Tai is not your stereotypical "Black Guy"! Although he grew up in the "Hood", his parents got rich and moved the F*@ck out of there. Half-Hood is the comedy journey of Tai's struggle to identify with his street origins, as well as fit into his new suburbia lifestyle.
Tai OptimusGrind
Tai OptimusGrind is an American comedian and performer. He began performing in small clubs in Houston Texas until he became a regular at the city's legendary Jus Jokin' While there Tai performed for mega comedy superstars like Kevin Hart and Oscar winner Monique.
Tai now lives in Dubai where he performs regularly throughout the U.A.E and is a member of Dubomedy and Dubai Laughing; a group of stand-up comedians and improv performers. Tai OptimusGrind hosts two monthly comedy shows Thursday Night Comedy at The Village English Pub and The Comedy Zone that just launch this summer in Abu Dhabi. He is also the co-host of a weekly international podcast featured on iTunes called The Brew: A Podcast for Bros.
