Holly Burn will now NOT be at the Fringe! Instead this summer Holly is playing Daniel Craig's body double in the new Bond film which means she can no longer perform at the festival. In her place, Holly is delighted to announce Kirsty K will be launching the first leg of her recently dead Nan's Memorial Tour!
Kirsty K (of Whitley Bay) is pretty excited, because she's never been away from home before and she's looking forward to getting to see the world during this sad time of mourning. Call/text if you wanna chat - she'll defo get lonely ? 07948 403 980 #iamkirstyk
Blazer of trails, faller off of stages, maker of noises - Holly Burn brings her charmingly monstrous alter ego Kirsty K to Edinburgh for her Festival Fringe debut.
On having to pull out of the festival this year, Holly Burn released this official statement: "I thought a Memorial Tour for Kirsty's dead Nan was a beautiful way to fill the space I've left! I've always loved dead people eg. Diana was one of my faves! (also 85/15% box office to me obvs)!"
About Kirsty K
Kirsty K lives in Whitely Bay with her Mum, Dad and Nan (before she popped her clogs). She is 24 years old and a caesarean. She has spent all her life in the North East - never even been on holiday but as she says she's never been to prison either . Her Nan left her a mission and money in her will - to go and tell the world about her and that's what Kirsty plans to do. Just remember Kirsty K is to Edinburgh what Godzilla was to New York.
About Holly Burn
Holly Burn is a stand up and character comedian trained in clowning at the Ecole Philippe Gaulier school in Paris, whose delightfully eccentric style has won her legions of fans including Noel Fielding, Harry Hill and Eddie Izzard. Her Edinburgh solo shows include 2009's site specific At Home With Holly, which was set entirely inside her Edinburgh flat and 2012's sell-out The H Club, which led to her being named as the comedy 'one to watch' in the Independent's annual cultural hitpredictor. Holly has starred in a host of comedy shows for TV, such as ITV's Comedy Cuts, BBC Four's Five Minute Funnies, Lee Kern's Celebrity Bedlam and Doctor Brown's Comedy Blaps (both for Channel 4). She most recently starred in ITV's Bad Bridesmaid, winning critical acclaim and overwhelmingly positive audience reactions. Earlier this year, her spoof video of Victoria Beckham's Vogue '73 Questions' went viral, appearing across global media publications, and even being promoted on social media by Victoria Beckham herself.
