Rosie Revan and Alice Fennell - aka Revan & Fennell - are up at the Fringe to perform sketches. Here's their answers to our 10 questions...

1. Tell us about your career so far. Are you happy with where you're at?

Rosie: We did our first performance as Revan and Fennell in November 2012 and have performed at loads of theatres in London and at the Brighton Fringe Festival.

Alice: Yeah, even though we started in late 2012, we still feel a bit like we're only just starting out because we haven't done Edinburgh yet and there are still so many people to meet.

Rosie: We're very happy with where we're at right now and excited with what the future holds.

2. Describe your show in exactly 23 words.

Rosie: A healthy mix of observational, character-driven and just downright silly sketches - we like to think there's something in there for you all.

Alice: That was 24.

Rosie: I think you'll find it was exactly 23.

Alice: Whatever.

3. Why are you putting yourself through this famously stressful experience?

Alice: I work in a school and needed something to do during the summer holidays.

Rosie: It's a fantastic platform for performers and we hope to meet lots of new people, and generally make more of a name for ourselves. Well, that's the plan.

Alice: That's not my plan.

4. Any cunning plans to get more punters in?

Rosie: We're arriving in Edinburgh five days before the festival kicks off, so we're going to use that time visiting local bars, cafes-

Alice: - shops -

Rosie: - I'm talking. And ask if we can put up one of our posters in their windows before all the window space gets taken up with other desperate companies!

Alice: Rude.

5. How much money do you think you'll lose/make this year?

Alice: Who wants to know?

Rosie: We'll probably lose a lot more than we can afford! We know how difficult it is to pull the punters in at the Edinburgh Fringe.

6. What are you most looking forward to about your first Edinburgh Festival?

Rosie: Seeing loads of shows and meeting new people.

Alice: Seeing loads of people and meeting new shows.

7. What other shows are you hoping to see?

Rosie: We love Shakespeare for Breakfast, so we'll definitely be seeing that. We also really like Gein's Family Giftshop and are looking forward to seeing their latest show. Oh, and Lights! Camera! Improvise! - The Improvised Movie... that looks really good.

Alice: Anything free.

8. If you took over programming a venue, what would you perfect line-up of comedians be?

Rosie: French & Saunders, Morecambe & Wise, Jo Brand, Kathy Burke, Victoria Wood, Chris Rock and Bo Burnham... and they'd do it all for free.

Alice: My dad.

9. Name the one person you'd rather not bump into during the festival.

Rosie: Ooo... tough question...

Alice: Chris Tarrant.

Rosie: Alice can't stand him.

Alice: Next question.

10. Why should audiences pick your show over the 1,700+ other comedy offerings at this year's festival?

Alice: 1,700 other comedy shows?! What?!

Rosie: Well, we're award-winning and yet to make our Edinburgh Fringe debut.

Alice: 1,700?! That's insane! Remind me why we're doing this.

'Revan and Fennell: Fan Club' is at 7:40pm at C Nova on 5-17, 19-31 August. Listing
