Charlie Baker - 7 things not to do if you're a friend or family member

Charlie Baker

1. Ask for a comp. You should buy a ticket. They are possibly losing thousands. Your 8 quid will help chip away at the debt.

2. Send them a link or @ them in on any reviews. Good or bad they might not want to see them.

3. Mention that Roger Mcallit or any other act is doing well and 'seems to be everywhere' They know. Roger Mcallit is also very talented and probably finds it all very easy. This doesn't help

4. Offer any unasked for help or critique on the show. Just say you really enjoyed it/laughed a lot/learned something/cried at the sad bit at 40 minutes. Then buy them a drink or something to eat.

5.Wonder if they could 'hook up' with 'Pete from the pub' as he's up for a few days and wouldn't mind a guide, especially someone who's 'in the know'. No. They just can't.

6.Talk about 'in September' - it doesn't exist. It will on about the 3rd of September.

7.Say you saw that Edinburgh highlights half hour on BBC2 and wondered why they weren't on it. There are 3500 shows. I'm sure Roger Mcallit was very funny on it.

'Charlie Baker: Just the One' is at 8:40pm at Assembly George Square Theatre on 5-16, 18-30 August. Listing
