When poking fun at your audience turns into bullying
The rules of engagement in theatre have changed, and now audience participation is everywhere. But artists have a responsibility to take care of those they pick on.

In this astonishing fun-filled show for the whole family, Edward Hilsum magically explores the themes of happiness and wish-fulfilment. Using performance skills that make him the current 'Stage Magician of the Year' he baffles and delights his audience by granting three wishes. But be careful what you wish for!
As Edward explains: "Our world is filled with technology and gadgets that seem amazing initially... but that feeling soon fades. The truth is that the most amazing things come from within us. This show reminds us of that."
Edward is acknowledged by his peers as one of the brightest of the current crop of emerging magic entertainers, praised by the likes of Derren Brown, Dynamo and Troy for his charismatic dexterity and engaging persona.
Obsessed with puzzles and making things from a very early age, Edward's natural desire to discover how things work led him to magic - which he admits helped to conquer his severe shyness. That child-like curiosity still shines brightly and children in particular warm immediately to his infectious passion.
Edward was recently awarded Stage Magician of the Year 2014 by The International Brotherhood of Magicians and co-wrote & directed the critically-acclaimed, West End show, James Freeman: Man of Steal. He recently toured the UK in the highly popular Champions of Magic.
