Following 2014's sell-out debut, the star of Stand Up for the Week, Mock the Week and BBC Radio 4's News Quiz is back and has decided to embrace who she is. You are cordially invited to join her, just Come As You Are. Star of BBC Three's Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live, Russell Howard's Good News, Channel 4's Stand Up for the Week and BBC Two's Mock the Week. After a career in health and social care, Angela Barnes decided to realise a long held ambition and give comedy a go. Within a couple of years she had won the '2011 BBC New Comedy Award' and became a finalist at the '2011 Latitude Festival New Act of the Year' competition. Since 2011, Angela, and her witty world view, has been catapulted?on to numerous radio and television shows including appearances on Channel 4's Stand Up for the Week as a weekly regular, on BBC Three's Russell Howard's Good News, Russell Kane's Whistle Stop Tour (BBC Radio 2), and BBC Radio 4's The Now Show and Loose Ends.
