Jokes tumble onto the stage.

A clown is born in this debut hour from one of Scotland's most promising up and coming stand up Comedians.

Dewy-eyed fun man Ally Houston brings to the stage a stand-up show that becomes a dark musical odyssey into the mind of its creator and examines the relationship between Ally and his mysterious pet clown Shandy.

Ally has been honing his stand-up skills for four years and is a regular at The Stand comedy clubs and other venues around Scotland. He developed the character of his pet clown Shandy on stage and off, and scooped the Golden Pineapple Award at the inaugural Chunks Of The Year showcase as a result of performing early segments of Shandy at the anarchic alternative comedy night.

The music from the show is co-written with Ally's old friend and former Dogs Die In Hot Cars guitarist Gary Smith, under the pen name Olthof Smith. Their collaboration began ten years ago at university, where they tried to write serious songs that came out as parodies. It made them laugh, and now they're sharing the songs with the world for the first time.
