Following a season of sold-out shows at the Edinburgh International Magic Festival in 2013, Aussie-born, Covent Garden street escapologist and true entertainer Tony Roberts debuts his critically acclaimed show Card Magic at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2014.
With storytelling at its heart, Card Magic makes sophisticated sleight-of-hand card illusions play understudy to Roberts tales on his life as a travelling performer.
Before honing his craft as a magician and performer, Roberts started his working life as a Chef, then worked in the motor industry. At the age of 40, as a birthday present to himself, he turned his back on a high paying corporate job to become a full time performer.
“I gave everything away, and literally condensed my life down to one 23 kilo suitcase and a dream,” says Tony Roberts.
Having travelled extensively Tony Roberts is now based in London, a member of the prestigious London Magic Circle, and a full time performer at Covent Garden.
